Air Duct Cleaning in Austin, TX From a Local Company Founded in 2009
Attica Air Duct Cleaning did not begin as a marketing idea or a name placed on a service van. It began with a genuine interest in cleaning and a personal concern about the air people breathe inside their homes.
From an early age, Attica’s founder enjoyed cleaning and restoring things. After becoming sick and paying closer attention to indoor air, he became interested in what can collect inside an HVAC system. That interest led him to begin cleaning air ducts himself and eventually build a local, family-owned business.
Attica was founded on March 4, 2009. Since then, our team has served more than 12,000 residential and commercial properties in Georgetown, Austin and the surrounding area.
Today, Attica combines that hands-on beginning with professional negative-air equipment, a DuctMaster rotary-brush system, HD and 4K duct cameras, Benefect botanical disinfectant and a NADCA-certified technician on our team.
Our principle has remained simple: inspect the system, show the customer what is there, explain the available options and provide an honest price before cleaning begins.
We Do Not Sell Air Duct Cleaning With Scare Tactics
Air duct cleaning is an industry where homeowners often see extremely low advertised prices. Once the company arrives, the offer may suddenly change or the technician may use frightening language to pressure the customer into buying more work. Attica does not operate that way.
We do not use bait-and-switch pricing. We do not tell every homeowner that every part of the HVAC system needs the same service. We do not begin cleaning until the customer understands the findings and approves the price.
Some air duct inspections are free, while others require an inspection charge depending on the property, location, access and reason for the visit. Our office explains the applicable inspection arrangement before the appointment. After the technician evaluates the system, the customer receives the cleaning price.
That inspection-first approach is important because two homes with the same square footage may have completely different duct systems, access conditions and cleaning needs.
What Makes Attica's Air Duct Cleaning Process Different?
Our process is built around three things customers can understand: evidence, controlled cleaning and documentation.
HD and 4K Duct-Camera Inspection
Our technician can use an HD or 4K duct camera to examine accessible areas that cannot be properly evaluated from the register opening alone. Camera footage helps us understand the level and location of buildup before recommending work. It also gives the homeowner something more useful than a vague statement. When camera access is possible, we can show what we found inside the system.
Negative-Air Collection
Attica uses a professional negative-air machine to place the approved portion of the duct system under suction. This helps collect loosened debris instead of allowing it to spread into the home during cleaning. Negative pressure is not the cleaning step by itself. It is the collection side of the process. The buildup still needs to be loosened from the surfaces inside the system.
DuctMaster Rotary-Brush Cleaning
Our DuctMaster rotary-brush system provides mechanical agitation inside accessible duct runs. The rotating brush helps loosen accumulated dust and debris so the negative-air machine can collect it. The technician first considers the duct construction and condition. A cleaning method should be matched to the system rather than forced into every duct simply because the company brought one tool.
Benefect Botanical Disinfection Included
Attica includes Benefect botanical disinfectant with every approved air duct cleaning. Benefect is an EPA-registered botanical disinfectant. We apply it according to the product label and the approved cleaning scope. he disinfectant is used after physical cleaning. It does not replace the negative-air and rotary-brush process, and Attica does not present a sprayed product as a substitute for removing accumulated debris.
Before-and-After Documentation
Our technicians provide before-and-after photographs of accessible duct areas. The goal is to let customers see the work instead of simply being told that it was completed.
Our Air Duct Cleaning Process
1. Arrival and Home Protection
Attica technicians arrive in uniform and wear shoe covers inside the home. We discuss the customer's concerns and protect the areas where equipment and hoses will be used.
2. System Inspection
The technician examines the accessible duct system and uses an HD or 4K duct camera when appropriate. The inspection helps identify the actual condition, system layout and areas that may require attention.
3. Findings and Price
We explain what we found and provide the price before cleaning begins. If an additional service is recommended, it is explained separately. The customer decides whether to proceed
4. Negative-Air Setup
The approved section of the system is connected to professional negative-air equipment. The work area is prepared so loosened material can be directed toward the collection equipment.
5. Mechanical Cleaning
The technician uses the DuctMaster rotary brush system in accessible duct runs. The brush loosens material while negative pressure helps collect the debris.
6. Final Review
We inspect accessible completed areas, provide before-and-after photographs and answer the customer's questions before leaving.
Air Duct Cleaning and Plenum Restoration Are Not the Same Service
Sometimes the duct runs need routine cleaning. In other situations, the plenum has surface damage, staining or another condition that requires more than ordinary dust removal.
For selected plenum-restoration projects, Attica uses Foster 40-20 Fungicidal Protective Coating in white. Foster 40-20 is a specialized protective coating used after the surface has been cleaned and properly prepared.
Plenum coating is not automatically included with every duct cleaning. The technician must first inspect the plenum and explain whether cleaning alone, restoration or another solution is appropriate. If coating is recommended, it is quoted as a separate part of the work.
This distinction protects the customer from paying for a restoration product when normal cleaning is sufficient.
Signs It May Be Time for a Duct Inspection
Consider calling Attica when:
- You can see accumulated debris inside accessible ductwork
- Dust or particles appear to come from supply vents
- An odor becomes noticeable when the HVAC system starts
- The home recently had remodeling, drywall or construction work
- You recently purchased a property and do not know the cleaning history
- You want camera evidence before deciding whether cleaning is necessary
- Another company gave you a large quote without showing you the system
Visible dust on the face of a register does not automatically prove that the entire system requires cleaning. That is one reason Attica begins with an inspection.

EXCELLENT Based on 185 reviews Posted on Google Keith LeableTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Great company, did a nice job with my dryer vent on the 2nd story and cleaned the HVAC out. Installed a UV light to help prevent growth. Best communication from a contractor I’ve ever experienced. Would recommend.Posted on Google Lynne ChristTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I called in the morning to have an inspection done, by the evening of the same day they were here and ready to do the job. Nothing was done w/o our approval, video/pictures were prepared of our air ducts/attic so we could see the true nature of our problem, and we agreed to the work needed to be done. The team from Attica worked hard cleaning up the at least 10 year build up in our air ducts. When done the very tidy work done was completely put back together, and vacuumed. You would not have known such a big job was done unless you were here watching it all go on around you. The 3 men did an excellent job, their communication as to what they were doing was excellent and my house was left neat and ultimately cleaner upon their leaving. Our experience with Attica Air Duct Cleaning was excellent and we highly recommend them to all who need their service.Posted on Google Cami SirbuTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. After moving into our place in Georgetown, we wanted to get everything checked out properly, especially the air system. Attica Air Duct Cleaning came highly recommended, so we gave them a call. Leo arrived on time, was very easy to talk to, and explained exactly what needed attention without pushing anything unnecessary. We ended up getting both air duct cleaning and a UVC light installation, and the difference has been noticeable. The air feels fresher and the whole house just seems cleaner.
