Blown-In Fiberglass Attic Insulation in Austin, TX
Attica Air Duct Cleaning provides a clearly defined attic insulation service: professional installation of blown-in fiberglass insulation, normally targeting R-38 to R-49 based on the attic and approved project scope.
We do not describe every attic as the same. Existing insulation depth, coverage, access and condition must be reviewed before we determine how much fiberglass is needed.
Attica was founded on March 4, 2009 and has served more than 12,000 properties. Because our team also specializes in air duct cleaning, we understand that the attic often contains more than insulation. It may also contain the home’s supply ducts, return ducts and HVAC equipment. We work carefully around those components while installing new material.
Our insulation scope is direct and transparent. We install blown-in fiberglass. Air sealing and baffle installation are not included in our insulation service, and we will not advertise those services as though they are part of the project.
Why Attica Installs Blown-In Fiberglass
Blown-in fiberglass is well suited to many existing Central Texas attics because it can be distributed around framing and across irregular attic-floor areas. When installed correctly, it helps create more consistent coverage than simply placing a few pieces of batt insulation over visible gaps.
Attica focuses on blown-in fiberglass rather than presenting customers with a confusing list of products we do not normally install. The proposal identifies the approximate target, the areas included and the amount of work required.
We commonly plan projects around an R-value target between R-38 and R-49. The final target depends on the attic, existing material and approved scope. We do not promise a particular R-value without first evaluating the space.

Signs Your Attic May Need Additional Insulation
An attic insulation evaluation may be appropriate when:
- Existing insulation appears shallow or uneven
- Sections of the attic floor are visibly bare
- Previous contractors moved insulation and did not restore the coverage
- Older fiberglass has settled or become compressed
- Rooms below the attic are difficult to keep comfortable
- The insulation level is unknown
- A recent repair or construction project disturbed the attic
- Old insulation was removed and the attic now needs replacement material
These conditions do not prove that insulation is the only factor affecting comfort. Attica explains the insulation work we provide without promising that it will correct every HVAC, building or energy issue.
Our Attic Insulation Process
1. Evaluate the Attic
We review the accessible attic area, existing insulation, approximate coverage, access and conditions that could affect installation.
2. Determine the Proposed Target
Based on the existing material and project, we recommend a blown-in fiberglass scope generally designed around R-38 to R-49.
3. Explain What Is and Is Not Included
The customer receives a clear proposal before work begins. Attica's insulation service does not include air sealing or installation of ventilation baffles. If another contractor is needed for work outside our scope, that should be handled separately.
4. Protect the Work Route
Our uniformed technicians wear shoe covers and protect the path used to reach the attic. Equipment and fiberglass are staged with attention to the occupied areas of the home.
5. Install Blown-In Fiberglass
The fiberglass is installed across the approved attic area with attention to even coverage and the planned target. Technicians work carefully around visible ducts, equipment and required access areas
6. Review the Completed Work
We visually review accessible completed areas and provide before-and-after photographs where practical.
An Honest Scope Is Part of the Service
Some insulation companies advertise a complete attic-energy package even when the customer is only receiving additional insulation.
Attica separates the services clearly. Our blown-in fiberglass service does not include:
- Air sealing
- Installation of soffit or ventilation baffles
- Electrical repair
- Roof repair
- HVAC repair
- Pest removal
- Hazardous-material remediation
This does not mean those items are unimportant. It means Attica will not place them in the proposal unless they are services we are actually providing.
When Old Insulation May Need Removal First
Not every attic needs complete removal. Existing insulation may sometimes remain while compatible blown-in fiberglass is added over it. In other situations, water damage, heavy contamination, extensive debris or the need to expose the attic floor may make removal appropriate.
Attica offers attic insulation removal as a separate service using specialized vacuum equipment. If removal is recommended, the reason and removal scope are explained before new fiberglass is installed.
We do not use the age of the insulation alone as a reason to sell a complete removal project.
What Our Customers Say About Us
EXCELLENT Based on 185 reviews Posted on Google Keith LeableTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Great company, did a nice job with my dryer vent on the 2nd story and cleaned the HVAC out. Installed a UV light to help prevent growth. Best communication from a contractor I’ve ever experienced. Would recommend.Posted on Google Lynne ChristTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I called in the morning to have an inspection done, by the evening of the same day they were here and ready to do the job. Nothing was done w/o our approval, video/pictures were prepared of our air ducts/attic so we could see the true nature of our problem, and we agreed to the work needed to be done. The team from Attica worked hard cleaning up the at least 10 year build up in our air ducts. When done the very tidy work done was completely put back together, and vacuumed. You would not have known such a big job was done unless you were here watching it all go on around you. The 3 men did an excellent job, their communication as to what they were doing was excellent and my house was left neat and ultimately cleaner upon their leaving. Our experience with Attica Air Duct Cleaning was excellent and we highly recommend them to all who need their service.Posted on Google Cami SirbuTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. After moving into our place in Georgetown, we wanted to get everything checked out properly, especially the air system. Attica Air Duct Cleaning came highly recommended, so we gave them a call. Leo arrived on time, was very easy to talk to, and explained exactly what needed attention without pushing anything unnecessary. We ended up getting both air duct cleaning and a UVC light installation, and the difference has been noticeable. The air feels fresher and the whole house just seems cleaner. David and Leo worked efficiently and kept everything neat, which we really appreciated."=Posted on Google Nathan WestonTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google.
